In a report broadcast on Swiss TV called “Kassensturz” (counting the earnings), a hefty amount of “criticism against Israel” (a.k.a. antisemitism) was exercised to such an extent that concerned citizens made a petition against this form of anti-Israel agitation on the network. The report of “Kassensturz” leaves the impression that Israel is a criminal state of slave drivers, that they occupy areas contrary to International Law, and that consumers should not buy their products.
The “Kassensturz” report can be seen here:
Arguments against the report:
We appeal to you that in the future you properly take into account that:
- In spite of the UN’s Partition Plan of September 29, 1947, and Israel’s acceptance into the UN on May 14, 1949, the State of Israel has had to struggle for mere existence, namely since its neighbors unleashed a barrage of attacks in 1948 and have followed them up with periodic war-like attacks over the decades, carefully planned terrorist acts, and antagonistic propaganda campaigns carrying the National Socialist Jew-hating agenda forward.
- The occupation of the West Bank and Gaza is the result of Arab attacks, whereas the occupation of Gaza in the meantime has been completely relinquished by means of voluntary and unconditional actions.
- Israel’s “borders” are only cease-fire boundaries that, like all around, only hold back the positions of the enemy forces on the day of their cease-fires, and therefore take no kind of topographic, economic or other necessities like those of the directly neighboring residents into consideration.
- it has been absolutely impossible to agree on decisive borders because Israel’s right of existence has been rejected by the Arab countries in the more than 62 years since its beginning and today by the power holders in Iran. Therefore it has been impossible for negotiations to lead to a peace treaty or a regulated provisional arrangement.
- as alternatives to political efforts for peace that have failed so far, manifold constructive attempts have been made in order to forge new and lasting relationships between all population groups in the Middle East, whether through the creation of new employment positions, combined opportunties for sports, culture and much more, so that step-by-step advances can be made toward coexistence.
- demands for boycotts of products from the West Bank and Israel can only have counterproductive results because they can cause damage by the unemployment that boycotts breed to the large portions of the Arabic population who receive their income in industries created by Israelis.
- Israel’s Declaration of Independence signed on May 14, 1948, professes, “We reach out our hand in peace and to serve as good neighbors to all neighboring states and their people, and appeal to them to work in mutual help with the Jewish people who have become autonomous in their lands. The State of Israel is prepared to contribute its part to the combined effort in developing all of the Middle East.
- your correspondent André Marty persistently shows, not only on Swiss TV, but also in his own Internet publications, his completely one-sided and unbalanced opinion regarding the existence and treatment of Israel, and therefore he does not abide by the counsel of the Swiss press to allow himself be guided by the public’s right to discover the truth, to allow himself to be guided by the principle of fairness in interpretation and commentary, and never to suppress important elements of information.

I see that not many posters are on this, as opposed to the ones on the German PI site.
