What shall I say then? That we’re about to become a socialist republic? In the following lines, I will ask a couple of questions that only lightly touch on this subject and answer them. I can’t cover the matters exhaustively because there wouldn’t be enough space to do so here. I will also attempt to say much as possible with a few words as I can.
(By Anders Denken)
How does the State take over and eventually oppress the People?
– Claim the human body as its property
– Limit the possibility of self-protection
– Limit / shut down access to information
– Control the flow of money
The first answer mentioned above contains perhaps the strongest means that a State can use to control its people.
In the past weeks, actually in the past year, there has been constant discussion about healthcare reform. The media has been almost totally enraptured by this subject. I believe it is simply because the healthcare industry comprises one-sixth of the American economy. But not just that, rather the present government also knows that if you can achieve control over the human body, then ultimately it doesn’t matter what other laws get passed. For therein is true controlling power.
However, we’re not only dealing with healthcare reform here, but also with the limitation of other freedoms. The present regime, as I see it, ultimately wants to shut down our Constitution. There is always talk of somebody that has said something off-hand, for example the sports announcer who said something that was interpreted as “racist.” Conservatives that are simply expressing their opinions about the economy, unemployment, our government, the war in Afghanistan or Iraq, are being attacked directly by the White House or Congress themselves because of what they are saying. They are being marginalized by the State. I have seen this with Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, Sean Hannity, not to mention many others. We see this in Europe with Geert Wilders. It’s very interesting to me that the media on one side of the ocean doesn’t want to deal with what’s happening on the other side. For example, we hear little or nothing about Geert Wilders here in the US. Reuters had a little paragraph, perhaps a three-liner about him. Up till now, the only new agency that has had anything substantial about Wilders is National Review Online.
In addition, there is the issue of the right of being allowed to own weapons privately. On April 4, there will be a demonstration in DC about this right. There is constant discussion among us as to how the 2nd Amendment can be changed, or perhaps disabled through local and state laws without having to touch the Constitution.
As an example of transgression against the 4th Amendment, the healthcare will have far-reaching effects because every US citizen will have to file a statement about their income and how much they have paid out for health insurance, and the IRS will be the administrative arm for the new social insurance law. Whoever is not insured will have to pay an “uninsured” fine, so it will be legally compulsive to be insured upon threat of fines.
OK, so why not go ahead and do away with the Constitution? In order to pass this health reform, many parts of the Constitution have been danced around. First, they weren’t able to get a constitutional majority to pass it with a proper majority. So, because of that, there was the idea of reconciliation, which is primarily used for financial matters. With that, as I understand, that requires the majority of only one vote. Unfortunately, they didn’t have enough votes for that, so Madame Pelosi decided to “deem it passed.”
Enough of the government. The American people don’t want anything of this monstrosity, of the takeover of our well-being, and even less of a great part of our economy. On September 12, 2009 in Washington, there was a demonstration with over a million people present, in which I myself took part. Since that day, many demonstrations have occurred throughout our country. In spite of all of that, this regime wants to pass a law that is contrary to the will of the people.
Acting against the 1st Amendment, the State is attempting to disempower the freedom of expression of the people in that a couple of Representatives of Virginia have introduced a law that will give the President the power to shut down the Internet (and/or specific networks and/or computers) in case of a national emergency. The question is: What will be interpreted as a national emergency? Dissenting opinion? How many of us own personal computers and laptops? That means they will really be able to come into your home, if neccessary, to take a specific computer off the Internet.
Movement, that is automotive movement, is also being looked at in reining in our freedoms. Every one of us already knows about General Moters, how it has been converted into Government Motors. The matter is only the beginning and is becoming much worse. In some cities like Chicago, the police now has the right to put a GPS on the car of a suspect without that suspect’s knowledge. It comes to the question of who will eventually be seen as a suspect? Someone with dissident opinions? Don’t get me wrong, I am not against fighting crime, but there is somewhat the saying, “If laws are passed, then only the law-abiding will keep them.” or in addition, “If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.”
As to control of money flow, one doesn’t have to say a lot. We already know about the bank bailouts and TARP. With these things, the state has already seized a lot of control over the banks. What interests me is with what money they actually did this? The taxpayers’? We also understand that our country is heavily indebted to a communist (somewhat capitalistic?!) land. Where will the money ultimately be to pay these debts? I believe that this is just the beginning of this drama…
The control that this regime wants to have over us is far more reaching than that of the Soviet Union ever was. At least back then, they didn’t have so much technology that they could employ against the people. They had only informants and somewhat hearing devices that they attached to telephones that could register something against the people, not much more than that.
Now the end of our country can be spelled out as following. Presently, there is an anti-Israeli movement fully underway. At PI and other places, I have read and heard how our country’s government conducts itself in relation to Israel. In my opinin, they want to look like idiots, while the real action of their policies looks quite different. How can we hope to influence Israeli policy? Do we really want Israel to make a peace treaty with a people who have the intent of driving all of Jewry into the sea? Since I am a believer in the Bible, I am of the persuasion that when the US is done with Israel, then the US is completely done for. History has constantly borne this out with only one exception. This exception has to do with the Arabs, who are the descendents of Abraham through Hagar. Genesis 16 and 17 show us why we have so many problems in the Middle East today. And in Genesis 21 and 22, and many other places, that there will be no end for Israel.

Addendum to the above text. I wrote this on March 19.
On Sunday evening (3/21/2010), at 11 PM, the United States of America was changed into the Socialist Republic of the United States of America. Just this morning (3/22), I was sent a report of the BILD newspaper where it says that the Germans are celebrating a victory for the American people. That is the opinion of the left-wing media. The real mood of the majority of the American people is that we absolutely do not want healthcare reform in the way it is being done here because we know that this particular law will give the State complete power over our bodies, and therefore our whole life. Therefore, it is a victory for Marxism, something I never imagined would be possible in my life.
