16-year-old schoolgirl Svera, of Pakistani immigrant background was murdered with an axe by her own father (PI reported) and had been abused by him beforehand. However the girl suffered not only because of the father. Her mother hated 18-year-old Louis (photo) because her daughter’s friend was a Christian. As punishment, she locked Svera in the bathroom all night.
Blick reports:
An the day Svera died, she was the first one to return home. Three weeks prior, she lived with her friend Louis F. (18). BLICK found Louis. The media specialist from Zürich-Albisreden talks about how Svera fought for her life as an independent person in an independent country — and lost. “I loved Svera more than everything. But now she is gone, simply that. I still can’t completely understand it,” Louis says.
“Svera didn’t have it easy at home. She said, “My mother hates me, and my father beats me,” Louis recounted. “I was over at Family R.’s house once. I wanted to speak with Svera’s mother, to introduce myself to her. For she is the real head of the family — everyone marches to her drum. Even Svera’s father. He does what his wife tells him to do.”
However, the 18-year-old is unwelcome. “Because I am a Christian, her mother would not allow me to go with Svera,” Louis said. “As punishment for having a non-Muslim friend, the mother locked Svera at night in the bathroom. She tried every means of forbidding us from having contact.” But Svera resisted, she ran away — to Louis — knowing full well that this would lead to even more problems with her parents. “She gave her last heartbeat for her great love,” said Betül E. (18) from Bern who was a good friend of the young couple. “Svera always felt safe with Louis. She was at home there.” …
Svera turned in doubt to the official family counsellor, an Egyptian. Betül says, “We set an appointment with him two weeks ago – Louis and I wanted to come along. But man never showed up. We stood for over an hour in the rain and waited for him.” The family counsellor is himself a practicing Muslim.
Louis says further, “Then we went to a homeless shelter in Zürich.” But it was closed until July — renovations. …
Last Monday, Svera, along with a friend, was caught stealing. The girls were trying to get away with a pack of cigarettes …
A few hours later, Svera is dead. Louis says, “Svera was still waiting around with a friend about 7:30 p.m., so that they could meet each other later at the main train station. She didn’t mention anything about an argument with her parents.” However, Svera never arrived at the train station. Around 8:30 p.m., her father called the police, he had killed his daughter.
“I would only like to know where her mother was at the time,” Louis says. A neighbor lady saw the mother leaving the cooperative village Rütihof with her prayer book in hand and her two small children shortly before 8 p.m. on the evening of the murder.
Honor killing is not a crime of passion committed in the heat of the moment by fathers who go berserk. Honor killing is premeditated murder, often done in collaboration with the mother — that is then called restoration of “honor” and Islamic “peace.”
