The BILD newspaper is publishing in their edition today a call for donations for the family of Daniel S. from Kirchweyhe who was kicked to death by a Turkish band of thugs. Daniel’s mother, elder care giver Ruth S. (photo) raised her four sons Christian (25), Daniel(†), David (22) and Tobias (21) alone and doesn’t know how she is going to pay for the burial

BILD reports:

[…] All of Germany is participating on the Internet. Ruth S.: “To see how many people are sorrowing with us, does me good. However, the disparaging comments of Dani being a Nazi cause unspeakable pain.” Then the mother tells what kind of person her son was. Ruth S.: “Dani wasn’t one trace xenophobic. He had many foreigners as friends. My best friend is a Muslima. Our family esteems each individual person. Regardless of whatever nationality, religion or skin color they are. I am shocked that somebody could claim such a thing about my child.”

About her feelings, the mother says: “They are riding a roller coaster. Sometimes I cry uncontrollably. Then my children and I tell stories from Dani and everyone has to laugh. And then cry again. It’s horrible.” Daniel leaves behind a twin brother. Christian (25): “Daniel’s death for me is as though a part of me has also died.”

Ruth S. doesn’t know how she will pay for the burial. Not to mention nice, black outfits for Dani’s brothers Christian (25), David (22) and Tobias (21) for the funeral.

The hard-working elder care giver raised all her children alone. The children are still in school, the money tight.

Ruth.: “There needs to be a decent burial, though. Dani will wear his favorite outfit in the coffin. We just bought it together. He had no idea when he would wear it for the first time.” […]

Since it can’t be counted on for the state of Lower Saxony or the Turkish organizations to support the family in any way, we are asking our readers to join in the call for donations by the BILD newspaper. Here is the family’s bank account information:

» Ruth S., Account: 503704200, Routing: 29162394, Volksbank eG Osterholz.
