The independent Zurich campus blog reports:

One wouldn’t presume much malice behind the activity, “Morals and Ethics in Groups,” being carried out by the Psychological Instute of the University of Zurich. The docent Bettina Ryf, by means of the Mideast conflict, sets her aim on dealing with the subject. …

A compilation of articles from a German-Palestinian women’s association, a lobbying organization tha advocates national Arab-Muslim interests, serve as an introduction to the subject. We can’t deal with all the details of this propaganda work here. A few examples, however, should be enough:

“In its course (Israeli War for Independence 1947/48), the paramilitary Israeli units secured their own territory and large parts of the areas promised by the UN to the Arab state. Thus the intrusion of the Arab states the day after the founding of the State changed nothing. After its consolidation, the Jewish State eventually comprised 78% of the Palestinian region instead of the 56% called for by the UN Partition Resolution.”

As a whole, it needs to be said of this document, that it uses no scientific criteria and also doesn’t claim to be neutral: massacres and acts of violence against Jews before the founding of the State remain unmentioned, as also the more than one million Jewish refugees that have been driven from Arab lands and Iran. Most apparently, the document deals with cementing the the not so accurate fables from the rolls of Arab victims. Bettina Ryf is visibly attempting to spread this very lie of Arab-Muslim nationalism among her students. Is this really the level that can be expected from the University of Zurich?

Hardly! Even though the unfoundable horror stories about the Jews Israel have become socially acceptable again, they should not be allowed to be propagated as “science” among students.

What does Google, always so helpful, say? If one googles for “trophy photos soldiers” one gets 531,000 hits, some as interesting as this one or this one. And no, they are not about Israeli soldiers.

As it ought to be, and I am serious here, those pictures are put in a historic perspective by many contemporary and more recent commenters. It is an enlightening lecture about history and human nature. If one goes then on googling for “trophy photos soldiers -israel -jews” one gets 322,000 hits, for “trophy photos soldiers -israel -jews -iraq” only 242,000. What conclusion can be drawn from that? I’m not 100% sure, but a possible one would be that American war crimes, real or perceived, only started to become truly interesting for a wider public, and not even mainly in Germany, when America had mutated in the public eye to the Ersatz-Jew, acting as proxy for Israel, the Über-Jew.

This is the execution of Sergeant Len Siffleet of the Australian Z Special Force Unit on October 24, 1943, at Aitaoe beach, New Guinea, performed by a Japanese civilian. Such a duty was considered an honour. Japanese have immaculate manners.

Culture is wonderful, as long as it’s not Western. Never forget, too, that they are deeply traumatized by the cruel treatment they received from the West. And who are we, anyway, with our past and present, capitalism, imperialism, White Supremacy, colonialism, not to speak of the Holocaust, to be arrogant enough to lecture them what is wrong or what is right.

That, we must only do to the Jews.

Jerusalem-born Younan is seen as a valiant fighter for a suitable peace in the Middle East and developer of interreligious dialog. Because of his sharp criticism of Israeli occupation policy and the fence that separates Israel from West Jordan, Younan, who comes from a refugee family, has also had the career as an advocate of Palestinian liberation theology since 1998. …

In an appeal cosigned by Younan at the end of 2009, the authors label the occupation of the Palestinian areas “as sin against God and the people.” It states further, “We believe that we as Christians must exercise resistance against the Israeli occupation.”

The Lutheran World Alliance has also voted for a man at the top who intends to help the Arabs drive the Jews into the sea, and who signifies the Jewish presence in the “Holy Land” as “sin against God (Allah) and the people.” Nobody seems to be upset over this: In Germany his election garnered applause from the Evangelical as well as from the Catholic side.

The churches in Germany welcomed the election of Younan. As bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and in the Holy Land, he comes from a small church that in addition has to confirm that it is in a difficult situation, the officiating head of council for the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), Nikolaus Schneider, stated. He guaranteed Younan the support of the EKD in his difficult duty as the new head of the Lutheran Church Alliance of 70 million Christians.

The head of the Catholic German Bishops Conference, Archbishop Robert Zollitsch, expressed his hope in a congratulatory letter that “the dialog between the Catholic Church and the Lutheran Alliance will also be advanced in constructive fashion in the future.” Zollitsch wished the new president God’s blessings, “above all also in your responsibility as bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land.”

And there again is “Holy Land” — as if one would have to burn his tongue for saying Israel and not one single spark of the lightest criticism is allowed for the Grand Muft Bishop of Jerusalem…

Six suspects have been identified — five Arabic immigrants and one German [And we can safely assume that this is the official euphemism for "second generation immigrant with a German passport" because ethnic Germans rarely dwell among "Arabic immigrants". But it makes us all feel better that "Germans do it as well", doesn't it?] — and police are looking for the other three, police said. The six range from nine to 19 years old and have been questioned by police.

Hannover prosecutors are investigating those involved on suspicion of incitement and causing serious bodily harm … blah blah yabber yabber yack yack.

By the way, the organisers of the street festival didn’t call the police, who was only involved later. Gee! I wonder why.

And now imagine for a moment what would have happened had ETHNIC German skinheads attacked a Turkish or Arab dance group (or any other group with an “oriental” background).

I found out today on Deutschlandfunk Nachrichten (German Radio News), that according to the SÜDDEUTSCHE Zeitung newspaper, four BUNDESTAG FRACTIONS intend to vote on a resolution against ISRAEL next week in order to ANNOUNCE THE OPENING OF THE SEA ROUTE FOR GAZA, and therefore put the Republic of ISRAEL under pressure and cut down their options of defense even farther.

This is the BANKRUPTING of GERMAN POLICY relative to the fight against terrorism and to an ACTIVE FRIENDSHIP with ISRAEL as opposed to the issuing of useless communiqués. Isn’t it enough already, that a whole list of German companies already supply the Islam-Nazistic regime of the mullahs with strategically effective materials?

This is catastrophic. This, however, can be laid directly on the Brown/Reds and Milli Görüs.

Because at this time, as never before, the interests of our freedom lie together with those of ISRAEL’s, and opposite to those of a degenerated policy by the German Bundestag and those of the (post-)Stalinists, Green culturalists, and Neo-Nazis, I therefore appeal to all of you with all of your connections, your networking capabilities, and with PROTESTS OF EVERY KIND to put a giant mark through this REPREHENSIBLE PRO-ISLAMIC RESOLUTION on the cost sheet of the above-mentioned fractions that is to be marked at the cost of ISRAEL under the phony flag of peace or of seeming supply aid — or that will make for better competition against other powers in (the oil) business.

Demonstration from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on June 17th at the Leipzig Augustusplatz

“Israel is to blame!” is being continuously squawked from every corner because Israel, so they say, is acting “criminally,” “murdering” countless “civilians,” and waging “state terrorism.” Israel, Israel, constantly Israel! The defense of the Israel marine blockade on May 31st has been horribly misrepresented, and the usual anti-Israel resentments played over and over again.

Thus, it is a presumption, not just in Germany, who is responsible for the dead in the Mediterranean sea. It bothers nobody that thousands of people who are fleeing poverty, persecution and war each year drown off the coasts of Europe. However, when self-proclaimed “peace activists” die while on an alleged “humanitarian mission,” great is the outcry, and Israel is demonized as a “pirate state” — in dubio contra reum, in doubt against the accused — and at the forefront are the Left Party friends of peace.

Israel Hate in Leipzig

In Leipzig also, the pent up hate of Israel had to be released. On June 2nd, a demonstration under the motto “Break through the free Gaza blockade” took place in downtown Leipzig. Besides the Society for the Understanding of Nations, various other left-wing groups such as the SAV and the student organization SDS Left participated in the demonstration. Also, representative for the Saxony state assembly and president of the Leipzig City Chapter of the Left Party, Volker Külow participated in the protests.

During the demonstration, violent assaults also occurred. People who were at the edge of the demonstration route were physically attacked and injured by participants in the demonstration. The targets of attack were people who stated their solidarity with Israel by the showing of the Israeli flag. The left-wingers, along with Volker Külow, failed to show a clear dissociation from the violence.

Instead of protecting the group that was showing solidarity with Israel from the attackers, the police who were present proceeded with physical violence and pepper spray against those who had just been victims of the attack. From whom the violence originated didn’t seem to be of interest to the civil servants. It is inexcusable that an Israeli flag would be violently stolen away, torn up and trampled before their eyes. The escalation of violence continued without consequence for the the majority of the attackers. And, just as harshly to be condemned is that it clearly didn’t seem to bother most of the participants in the demonstration, who indeed profess officially to stand for human rights, that there were anti-Semitic thugs in their ranks.

Peace as they mean it

It is a sickening myth that it was a matter of humaneness, peace and freedom for the Leipzig Friends of Peace and the participants in the Gaza flotilla, and last of all that they really wished to help the destitute Palestinians in Gaza.

Israel had offered many times to transport the goods by land to the Gaza strip after a thorough inspection, and even before the pseudo-convoy set sail. Israel has a justified interest of preventing a military armament by the anti-Semitic Hamas — which tirelessly demonizes Israel and shoots rockets at them — and, in addition, it has a duty to do so under international law. This has been, and is consciously being, ignored. Thus, in spite of accepting Israel’s offer, the participants in the flotilla put up a confrontation and consciously accepted the possible endangerment of human life.

For the “Free Gaza activists, among whom Left Party representatives of the Bundestag were also found, it wasn’t a matter of “humanitarian aid,” rather that through their “political action” a military reaction by Israel would be provoked, and therefore enable the power holders in Gaza to achieve propagandistic support. Peace and human rights also mean completely nothing to those who hate Israel. For how could one seriously pretend to be an advocate for human rights and at the same time support a repressive, Islamic regime that occupies the Gaza strip, and not only terrorizes Israeli civilians but its own people as well, and uses civilians as human shields? A free Gaza simply cannot exist under the terrorist lordship of Hamas.

Against the Foreign Intervention of the Left Party!

In addition, nothing can be said of the peaceful, unarmed human rights activists that were victims of Israeli aggression. Certainly, not every passenger of the “Mavi Marmara” ship chartered by the Islamic organization IHH was out for violence. However, it was no problem for them to sit with anti-Semites, those ready to become Islamist martyrs, and haters of Israel. The participation of left-wing Bundestag representatives and their flimsy attempts at self-justification are to be especially condemned in this context and with all clarity. Various video recordings show how a lynch mob tried to kill the Israeli soldiers with knives and iron rods. Ex-representative Norman Paech, however, who one time compared the Hamas rockets with “pyrotechnic articles (fireworks),” rationalizes this excess as legitimate defense. Representative Inge Höger and Annette Groth had no problem with the segregation of the sexes on board which required being confined on a separate “deck for women.” And the latter also raved afterward about the “unbelievably good atmosphere” on board that couldn’t be marred by the anti-Semitic singing (“Oh ye Jews, (…) the army of the prophet Muhammad will return (…) Intifada to the victory”) during the sailing of the Turkish peace steamer. Also, the remarks of the party president for the Left Party, Gesine Lötzsch, that she and her fraction are proud of the “brave” foreign service by their party colleagues, make it even clearer that human rights rhetoric and hostility to Israel are in prime agreement.

It is absurd for haters of Israel who are resistent to illumination, and those who wish to play down Jihadist anti-Semitism, should now demand an independent explanation for the incidents, even though their destructive anti-Israeli condemnation is unretractable.

Free Gaza from Hamas! — Solidarity with Israel!

It is unacceptable that hate against Israel, anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic positions are being tolerated in a Leipzig league that has displayed on its banners that it battles for human rights; that the Leipzig police doesn’t prevent violent assaults against peaceful critics of the demonstration who are in solidarity with Israel and that by showing the flag of the Israeli state presents a provocation for “do-gooders” who openly justify violent activity. Volker Külow’s attitude of not making a clear condemnation of the anti-Semitic incidents is to be considered for criticism, as well as the attitude of the Left Party at the federal level.

Those who are for improving the living conditions in Gaza and wish to get involved in a peaceful solution to the Middle East conflict should also be engaged in the liberation of the Gaza strip from Hamas lordship. For, as long as Islamists continue to terrorize the population of Gaza and Israel, there can be no peace in the region. Therefore, the demand must read, “Free Gaza from Hamas!”

We invite everyone who wishes to stand up against the so-called peace movement of Anti-Zionism and anti-Semitic violence to demonstrate solidarity with Israel and participate in the demonstration on Thursday, June 17th at 5 p.m. at the Augustusplatz in Leipzig.

In Frankfurt/Main, the pro-Zionist Left are also extending an invitation to a demonstration “against the alliance of right-wing radicals, leftists and Islamists.” The event begins at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday 6/20/10. The beginning of the demonstration is on Berger Strasse (subway station Bornheim-Mitte).

In her remarks, Thomas’ words fell on the ears of her co-workers and colleagues in the White House like a ton of lead. She apparently had not expected that from the Obama administration. Ultimately, Thomas’ attempts at apology didn’t help either.

Ari Fleischer, the press secretary for the previous president, George W. Bush, opined that Thomas should be fired for her remarks. He reiterated this demand on Sunday on CNN:

“Helen’s statement calling for the religious cleansing of Israel is reprehensible. If this isn’t bigotry, what is? What she said is as bad as someone saying all blacks should leave America and go back to Africa.”

With her notice, Helen Thomas has been able to preempt her firing.

Tapfer im Nirgendwo reports:

In a café in the former capital of the Federal Republic of Germany, there was a brutal attack on an American citizen.

On Monday, May 31, 2010, a demonstration took place in the late afternoon against the Israeli treatment of the terror flotilla in the Mediterranean Sea that had been disguised as an aid flotilla. During this demonstration, a few participants noisily stormed a fully occupied Starbucks Café at the Münsterplatz at the call of “Death to Israel,” and demanded the guests to stop trinking and eating because they had a message to deliver. For over five minutes the demonstrators roared out their open hate against Israel in the café, a hate that with even the best of will cannot be considered as justified criticism.

A group of young schoolgirls attempted in vain to calm the demonstrators down. The screaming carried on for yet another ten minutes. When some of the demonstrators started to physically attack the three adolescent schoolgirls, a courageous visitor of the café stepped in. His name is Steven Selthoffer. Steven Selthoffer is an American citizen and sports journalist by profession. He was active among other things during the Olympic games of 2000 and 2004 and is considered as an expert regarding the Claudia Pechstein case.

Steven Selthoffer made it clear to the demonstrators in American English that this was a café and not the place for a political forum, and that they were to quit intimidating the schoolgirls with threatening tales. He asked the demonstrators to leave the café so that he and the other guests could drink their coffee in peace.

This led to a tumultuous uprising. The demonstrators, provoked to the most extreme by the American accent of the visitor, started to scream anti-American and anti-Israeli phrases in the fully occupied room. In addition, they began violently to demand from those present to take part in the demonstration.

Because Steven Selthoffer refused to cooperate with this uprising but remained seated at his place he was attacked from behind. A heavy object wrapped in a newspaper was thrown against the back of his head so that Steven Selthoffer fell to the ground and lost consciousness for a short time. In spite of the dangerous situation, two Starbucks employees rejected medical aid and didn’t consider it necessary to call the police. With the argument that he wasn’t totally innocent in the event, the personnel also refused to detain the attacker and let him go.

Steven Selthoffer suffered serious head and neck injuries and had to be treated at the St. Elisabeth hospital. The emergency physician on duty communicated that Steven Selthoffer was “very lucky,” and that the effects from the trauma would remain for the next two to three weeks.

In a conversation with Tapfer im Nirgenwo, Steven Selthoffer acted mostly by being drawn more and more heavily into the situation. He himself admitted that his ability to concentrate depended too much on how the situation affected him. He makes a very brief comment today about the incident, „No American or Israeli should feel safe at any Starbucks.”

Neil Swartwo communicated to Tapfer im Nirgendwo by telephone from the Starbucks Headquarters in Seattle that he was shocked at the action of the employees at this Starbucks franchise. He emphasized that such action is not in accordance in any way with Starbucks’ philosophy.

Starbucks promised to publish an extensive statement.

As the blog further reported in reference to the Cologne newspaper Kölner Stadtanzeiger, along with the hate demonstrations in Cologne (PI reported), the incidents led further to a hunt for those assumed to be Jews.

One of those present told the Kölner Stadtanzeiger about the experiences he had while he was going through a group of Palestine advocates to take pictures:

“I noticed right away the green flags of Hamas, and when I then asked a police officer whether the Hamas were not on the list of terrorist groups banned by the EU, I received the answer that he didn’t know and didn’t care as well.”

The demonstration came to an end for the participant when a young fanatic brought attention to himself:

He tried to intimidate me with the battle cry “Are you a Jew?”. When I said that I was a German, I was pushed to the side by the same police officer who couldn’t answer me earlier about whether the Hamas were a banned terrorist group in the EU. There, two of his colleagues took my personal information and issued me a reprimand.”

If the favorite phrase from the fighters against the Right, “Resist the beginning urges,” is to be more than just hot air from a hypocritical Sunday homily, then it is high time to follow up those words with actions.

But in a Turkey that has been re-Islamized at a fearfully fast pace, Hitler’s hate tirades appear to have become once again accepted and beloved. This is a seamless fulfillment of the Jew-hating scriptures of the prophet Muhammad, as these entries on Facebook very impressively confirm:

The insanity appears to be advancing: Saturday there will be a large anti-Jewish demonstration at the Kudamm in Berlin. A few would apparently like to engage themselves violently at the scene.

His babblings about the Jewish perpetrators of Stalinism who had been no real Jews because they didn’t believe in God, and the Nazis who didn’t believe in God, so the Germans were no “people of perpetrators” either, revealed more about the state of the nation than about him or the Holocaust. Nobody laughed, instead, he was expelled from his parlamentiary group and later stripped of his party membership as well. All of Germany was split in two factions. One thought that he was quite right and that the Jews get away with everything, the rest felt noble.

Things were a bit different, when Annette Groth and Inge Höger, two German Bundestag backbenchers from the post-Stalinist Left party joined the recent terrorist-aid convoi to Gaza. It was, after all, about Jews who are still alive.

Being safely home and dutifully fussed over, they were eager to convey their message. “We have a moral and Christian commitment to speak out aloud against any sort of human rights violations,” said Groth, who used to work for ecumenical institutions and an organisation linked to the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), Germany’s main Protestant umbrella, before becoming a member of the Bundestag.

Groth said she had been on the women’s deck (sic!) of the Mavi Marmara, having joined the Muslim women for their morning prayers (sic!) as every good Protestant Christian ought to, when Israeli special forces attacked. “There were soldiers everywhere, heavily armed and pointing their guns at us,” she said. “There was an attitude of terror and humiliation. They did not allow old men to go to the toilet … It was mere terror, creating a situation full of anxiety.”

Her colleague Höger said the women on the ship were quickly (sic!) shut in at a lower level of the ship, the so-called “women’s deck” (sic!) during the night and that they “… couldn’t get out, we didn’t know what was going on above because we were locked in,” she said. “We put on our life vests and eventually we figured out that the ship was occupied, that the Israelis had taken it over”, which doesn’t quite go together with Groth’s vivid description of heavily armed soldiers everywhere who pointed their guns at them and didn’t allow old men to go to the toilet, but whatever.

Different from Hohmann, who had been torn to shreds seven years ago, there was a fussing and clucking and general “there there I can relate yo you” over the two “visibly shaken” victims of Israeli savagery all through the media, because — did I say this already? — this was about Jews who are not yet dead.

There is a petition online to have the Stalin-sisters expelled from the Bundestag with, while I am writing this, 1820 signatures. Will it bring about anything? No, but I signed nevertheless because I thought everybody who got his knickers in a knot over Martin Hohmann seven years ago is somewhat morally obliged to do so.

In the meantime, the German mainstream is eagerly awaiting that the poor, beleaguered Pals and their assorted cronies in the Middle East will finish what had to be cut short 65 years ago in Europe, so that they can go on standing in firm solidarity side by side, upright, solemn and serious, with dead Jews again.
