Islam Critic Ulfkotte: Sarrazin is Right — “A completely absurd immigrant industry has come in to being”

Islam critic and book author Udo Ulfkotte sees an “increasing ignorance of politics” in the majority of opinions by German citizens in the sharp criticism of the immigration issues by Bundesbank head Thilo Sarrazin (SPD). “We are seeing again in surveys that people like Thilo Sarrazin have two-thirds of the population behind them. But all of the leading politicians are calling him crazy. It is a pure question of how much time before this is avenged,” Ulfkotte said to the “Leipziger Volkszeitung” (Friday edition). Before as now, it is not the desire for ruthlessly naming the problems of immigrant policy and putting a stop to undesirable mistakes. “Instead, we are probing further into the enactment of the story ‘The Kings New Clothes.’ The simple citizen is not allowed to say that the king is naked; as simple citizens one can only gossip. So this is how it is in modern Germany, but sometime the story will come to an end.

The harsh chastisement of immigrants reluctant to work, without German language ability, and defrauders of social aid must not be misconstrued as an undifferentiating blanket statement. “Even the immigrant citizens who are assimilating as much as they can, living properly, going to work and paying taxes ask themselves why we don’t do something to remove these black sheep from our ranks, and even favor them,” Ulfkotte said. In truth, they are the disadvantaged ones of the desirable developments coming from immigrant policy.

Ulfkotte supports the substance of Sarrazin’s controversial themes regarding immigrant problems and the outgrowth of Islam. It must eventually be discussed that, up until 2007, a deficit of more than one billion euros has arisen solely due to immigrants in the German social systems. “We have let a completely absurd immigration industry come into existence. A net of 1252 euros could conceivably be put back into the pocket of every German taxpayer if we wouldn’t expend these crazy sums for immigrants who are resistant to education and behind the times. Immigrants who have no German language skills and are perpetually dependent on social transfers due to their education level are criticized by Ulfkotte as “destroyers of prosperity.” The Islam critic also supports Sarrazin in criticism of Muslims. Islam, above all is an aggressive ideology “that should not be allowed a place among democracies in Europe,” Ulfkotte said. (…)

Meanwhile, the SPD is now starting another procedure to throw Sarrazin out of the Party of Comrades. The CDU is going a step further and would like to see Thilo Sarrazin removed from the Bundesbank.

Some tips sniffed out in Germany are difficult for even hardshell PI authors to believe. When a reader reported to us about a toilet only for Muslims on the Zugspitze, we thought it was a joke at first. The following excerpt from the BILD am SONNTAG newspaper from August 22, 2010 still couldn’t convince us completely:

A personal call at the Marketing Division of the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG (Bavarian Zugspitz Rail and Cable Car) created certainty: The reality has overtaken any possible satirical fantasy in Germany. Germany’s highest lying restaurant possesses a special toilet for the Devout. Their needs can be learned about on Pflege-Wiki:

After using the toilette, a Muslim often doesn’t use toilet paper, but rather cleans his private area with running water and the left hand. The left hand is considered unclean and is therefore not used for eating or greeting.

At the Zugspitze, it is hoped with the little holy place having Arab placards and a Muslim prayer room constructed directly next to it that rich Arabs will be drawn in. For what’s the oh so nice saying? “Money doesn’t stink.”

Whether the rape of little girls forced into marriage with old geezers can be experienced in a playful way, the report makes no mention of that.

The first five book titles will appear in the Fall.

Questions will be posed by “Der kleine Hassan (Little Hassan)” about the prophet Muhammad just as they are about Jesus, about the Islamic Victim Celebration (Eid al-Adha) and Christmas. In “Fayzal der Krebsfänger (Fayzal the Crab-Catcher),” a young person will learn to deal with his illness (Translator note: ‘Krebs’ is German for ‘crab’ or for ‘cancer’ thus the fun title of ‘crab-catcher’). “Mein erstes Gebetbuch” (My First Prayerbook) playfully guides by means of cheerful images into Islamic prayer ritual being accompanied by kittens that also take a try at bows. “Arabisch lernen mit Simsim” (Learning Arab with Simsim) is a teaching book for elementary pupils. Here the teaching pattern pursues new ways of imparting language for Muslim children growing up in Germany. “Das Geschenk” (The Gift) imparts the value of the word as a special gift to a young boy as given by the grandfather or prophet Muhammad.

For Salam Publishing head Ahmad Milad Karimi, who in 2009 was the first to bring the Quran poetically and true to the original text into the German, and is publisher of literature and art periodical “Kalliope”, this new form of publishing has the meaning of “pioneer work at every level,” as he stresses. The goal in this is not “to spread Islamic body of thought, “rather to support Muslims in Germany in their own religiosity and complexity.”

Christian Zell, interim head of the Pastoren city kindergarten facility in Bremen, in which “70 to 80 percent are mostly Islamic immigrant children” being cared for would “heartily welcome” it, if he had a better selection of literature geared toward children that covered Islamic celebrations and intercultural subjects. He remembers, however, when at the last Victim Celebration Turkish mothers from the Kita advisory council went around with self-authored writings from group to group in order to explain the meaning of the Muslim holidays to the children.

We find it fantastic that it is a whole-society edition that brings children closer to Islam. It is really an encouragement that Muslim parents themselves have to explain the butchery of the Victim Celebration to their children!

The publisher’s idea “is more than overdue,” said Sineb El Masrar, producer and head editor of the “Gazelle” in Berlin, the only intercultural women’s magazine for immigrants. The daughter of Moroccan immigrants has known nothing of any German children’s literature up until now dealing with life in the new cultural circle and especially with the “integration of Muslim girls.” She herself “often missed out” as well. The 29-year-old creates a great demand for the books today not only for families rather in elementary schools and kindergartens as well. As member of the German Islamic Conference (DIK), she sees an important mission in all of this as first of all to awaken interest in this literature.

Bülent Uçar, German-Turkish professor for Islamic Religious Pedagogy at the University of Osnabrück and author of the teaching book “Mein Islambuch” (My Book of Islam) developed for German elementary schools, complains that up until now there has been “only sparse materials” in tis country for the purpose of “strengthening” the coexistence of “Muslims and Christians.” The scholar welcomes the reasons of the publishing house. They take up subjects of the Islamic Conference and “meet the demands” for doing more “for the normalization of Islam” in Germany.

Milad Karimi called in a “scientific advisory council” to accompany his publishing idea. Besides Sineb El Masrar, Bülent Uçar, as well as co-publisher and Islam scholar Nora Hodeige, he was also able to get the distinguished German-Iraqi author with Christian-Aramaic roots, Rafik Schami, and the Austrian human rights advocate Alfred Zauner.

In order to first be able to bring the small production of 2000 to 3000 copies for each title to the market, Andreas Hodeige — Rombach publisher and main owner of the Salam publishing house as well as several booksellers — intends to deliver to the place “where the people are.” For this, he has put views on German and Muslim schools, mosques, Imams and kindergartens. However, not booksellers because in his experience Muslim parents only seldom visit one, since up until now there were hardly any books in German geared to children with Islamic background.

Aha! So that is the reason. Not exactly, say, because of a complete inability to speak German, or being unacquainted with reading.

What does Google, always so helpful, say? If one googles for “trophy photos soldiers” one gets 531,000 hits, some as interesting as this one or this one. And no, they are not about Israeli soldiers.

Defense worker N. Nickolson writes to her sweetheart thanking him for his letter and “souvenir.” This skull of a Japanese soldier bears the inscription: “Here is a good Jap — a dead one!”

As it ought to be, and I am serious here, those pictures are put in a historic perspective by many contemporary and more recent commenters. It is an enlightening lecture about history and human nature. If one goes then on googling for “trophy photos soldiers -israel -jews” one gets 322,000 hits, for “trophy photos soldiers -israel -jews -iraq” only 242,000. What conclusion can be drawn from that? I’m not 100% sure, but a possible one would be that American war crimes, real or perceived, only started to become truly interesting for a wider public, and not even mainly in Germany, when America had mutated in the public eye to the Ersatz-Jew, acting as proxy for Israel, the Über-Jew.

This is the execution of Sergeant Len Siffleet of the Australian Z Special Force Unit on October 24, 1943, at Aitaoe beach, New Guinea, performed by a Japanese civilian. Such a duty was considered an honour. Japanese have immaculate manners.

The faded photograph was found in a Japanese soldier’s pocket and yet still chills the heart of Australians.

I’m sure the Australians wouldn’t have gotten their knickers in such a knot had they only known, what Israelis would do to their prisoners sixty-odd years later.Not to forget the recent cases, but they are part of the culture of the performers and thus above criticism per se. Culture is wonderful, as long as it’s not Western. Never forget, too, that they are deeply traumatized by the cruel treatment they received from the West. And who are we, anyway, with our past and present, capitalism, imperialism, White Supremacy, colonialism, not to speak of the Holocaust, to be arrogant enough to lecture them what is wrong or what is right.

That, we must only do to the Jews.

Not quite. Cordoba stands for many other things as well. It was the name of the Islamic empire’s center, from where Islam ruled most of the then known world. It’s stands for one of the grandest mosques of that time which was, notabene, built on the ashes of a Christian Visigoth church. It stands, too for a massacre of the Jews of Cordoba in 1011 (yes, Al-Andalus wasn’t quite what Muslims and their enablers would like us to believe) and for the rape of the city by the Almohades in 1148. Some websites claim that the year 1011 carries some symbolism as well, but while that is entirely possible, it is too far-fetched to make it a point here.

To understand the full implications one has to know two basically simple things:

First, Christians and Jews build their places of worship to, well, worship. Muslims build mosques to symbolize Islamic supremacy over others, to proselytize, to politicize, as an arsenal.

Second, Muslims act on symbols.

The Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem on top of the Jewish temple symbolizes Islamic supremacy over Judaism, the Ummayyad Mosque in Syria is built on top of St. John the Baptist, Hagia Sophia in Constantinople was converted into a mosque as a symbol of Islamic supremacy over Christianity. The Cordoba Initiative mosque will be built on the ashes of almost thousand Americans who couldn’t be recovered after September 11, 2001. An innocent naive fallacy? Maybe, but I doubt it.

Here are some examples from Germany, my country, a country with, as of 2009, 4.3 million Muslims (5.4% of the population). Of these, 1.9 million are German citizens (2.4%). As of 2006, there were about 15,000 ethnic German converts. The large majority are of Turkish origin. Most Muslims live in Berlin and the big cities of former West Germany, mainly in the those of the industrial stronghold along the rivers Rhine and Ruhr.

The Yavuz-Sultan-Selim mosque in Mannheim is one of the biggest in Germany. Its patron, Selim I was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1512 to 1520. Selim carried the empire to the leadership of the Sunni branch of Islam by his conquest of the Middle East. On the eve of his death in 1520, the Ottoman empire spanned almost 1 billion acres.

More than 50 mosques in Germany are called Fatih. Fatih means conqueror and refers to Mehmet II who was Sultan of the Ottoman Empire for a short time from 1444 to September 1446, and later from February 1451 to 1481. At the age of 21, he conquered Constantinople in a bloodbath, bringing an end to the Byzantine Empire. Mehmet continued his conquests in Asia, with the “Anatolian reunification”, and in Europe as far as Belgrade.

Other popular names for mosques in Germany are:

Aksa/Aqsa means “farthest”, and in this context the “farthest [so far] from Mecca”. The Muslim claim to Jerusalem and the Holy Land comes in here as well.

Ayasofya is emblematic for and purposefully reminiscent of Christian humiliation.

Hicret (arabic hidschra) refers to Mohammeds flight from Mekka to Medina in 622.

Imam Ali.

Al-Quds stands for Jerusalem. (It was an Al-Quds mosque in Hamburg from where Mohammed Atta set out to promote his very own brand of conquering.)

Selimiye refers to the megalomaniac Selimiye mosque in Edirne:

Then we have the Merkez mosque in Duisburg (Merkez means stronghold in Turkish), currently the biggest in Germany and probably in Europe as well. I discussed it previously for example here and here.

The controversial projected mosque in Cologne is called “Merkez” as well, which is (politically correct) translated not as “stronghold”, but as “center”. Everything not to let Muslims appear in a less than angelic light. I have covered the interesting and complex controvery that was triggered by the Cologne mosque, but went far beyond, it here:

Another popular name for mosques in Germany is Bilal. No, this has no apparent, blatant connection to Muslim conquest, however, it is interesting in a different sort of way. The Ethiopian Bilal ibn Ribah was the first Muezzin in the history of Islam and called from the rooftop of the first mosque, no minaret in sight. Until today, minarets are not mandatory in Saudi Arabia and many minaret-less and relatively inornate mosques among the older ones, some of them very important, can be seen there. Why? What about “symbolism”? Saudi Arabia was, and is, Muslim heartland and needed no “spearheads” to impress and bully infidels.

Ask for the name of the mosque next to you and do a quick Google search. The result might be interesting.

One more word about the Cordoba Initiative. Granted for argument’s sake that the Ground Zero mosque, pardon me, the Cordoba outreach center to make better people of infidels, was planned and is being realized in good faith. Then we still have to deal with the sensitivity aspect, haven’t we. Wasn’t it abundantly clear in the first stages of the planning process already that only too many Americans wouldn’t react kindly to a project like that? It seems that the sensitivity and respect Muslims are always so stridently demanding for themselves is utterly missing when they are addressing non-Muslims. Is it too far fetched to speculate how the idea of a German cultural center together with Protestant church, theater, swimming pool, the lot, as a gesture of reconciliation at the Westerplatte would be received by the Poles? Or why the Japanese did never propose a center for the promotion of their culture at Pearl Harbor?

I will never forget where I have been when 9/11 happened and how long it took for the reality of WHAT had happened to seep in — and the horror when it finally had. Shortly after 9/11, an anonymous New Yorker released a Macromedia Flash presentation with a collage of news photos from the attacks and the victims. “Only Time” by Enya (which I hadn’t heard before) was used as a soundtrack. The Flash presentation spread rapidly over the internet and it is still available. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched it during the days and weeks following 9/11, bawling my eyes out. 30 times? 50 times? How can I ever forget the pictures of those who chose to fall to their death rather than to burn or to suffocate. Some choice. How the thought of the hundreds of firefighters who rushed to the scene to never come back? How the face of the gallant Father Mychal Judge who died, 68 years old, in a hail of steel and concrete as he administered the last rites to a firefighter and an office worker. And you, you who have been there, allow THEM to build one of their disgusting symbols of heathen supremacy over YOUR culture on the ashes of the victims.

What else do you need to know about Islam?

Certain upper schools have also already been affected as well. The advocates argue for the measures by saying that the number of Muslims has increased so much in the elementary schools that responsibility can no longer be taken for “unclean” food. When the little ones become older, the usual upper schools will certainly follow up as well. And thus, a once proud kingdom is collapsing and dismantling itself.

SPON is the online version of the leftist battle rag mother of all political magazines in Germany, where the party of the hardcore-GDR-educated leftist Angela Merkel is doggedly called “conservative” and Geert Wilders with boring predictability as “right-wing populist”. SPON informed us about the Stadtkewitz affair and even spared no efforts to find a pickie on which Stadtkewitz looks as ugly and cadaverous as humanly possible.

Frank Henkel, the CDU’s regional parliamentary group leader, gave Stadtkewitz an ultimatum: Withdraw the invitation by July 26 or face the consequences.

Stadtkewitz refused in an open letter in which he also suggested that the CDU should be doing more to combat Islam politically. Up until now, public debate about the Islamic faith had been “too timid” in Germany, Stadtkewitz wrote. He added that the debate should focus on the defense of freedom and of Christian values, including concerns about “countless young women, who are forced into arranged marriages, enslaved and who sometimes become victims of so-called honor killings.”

‘No Place in Our Party’

Henkel responded Monday by saying that he would propose a motion to exclude Stadtkewitz from the parliamentary group because he had distanced himself from “the goals of the conservatives.”

From which the conclusion can be safely drawn that the defense of freedom and of Christian values, including concerns about young women, who are forced into arranged marriages, enslaved and who become victims of so-called honour killings are not the goals of those “conservatives”. I repeat: He gives a damn for the frightening number of honour killings of girls and women in his city and elsewhere, he couldn’t care less for enslaved and forcibly married women, he flips the bird to the Christian faith, which is still, albeit yet and just, part of the name of his own party, in brief, he refuses to serve and protect the people he has sworn to serve and protect.

It gets worse:

Henkel said Berlin set a positive example of integration and immigration for the whole of Germany. “There is no place in our party for people who demonize Islam and pass judgment on believers in other religions,” Henkel explained.

He is lying through his teeth and he knows quite well that this is not about “believers in other religions”. Neither Russian Orthodox Christians nor Vietnamese Buddhists, Confucianists, or Taoists are a problem, and neither are Jews. This is about Islam and Islam only, and nobody needs to “pass judgment” or “demonize” Islam, because what Islam and those who believe in it do in its name is for everybody to see.

He knows, too, that Berlin is one of those cities where in “migrant quarters”, which make up for a considerable part of the city, the rule of law doesn’t apply anymore because the monopoly on the use of physical force has become void. For “migrants” take “Muslims”.

More positive examples of integration and immigration in Berlin, anybody?

In Berlin, during the last two Football World Cups, policemen were banned from sporting German flags at their cars because it “might be provocative to supporters of other teams”. Of course, this was meant to appeal to people like Poles, Italians and Dutch who are known for their violence and rioting. Not.

At an exhibition “The Third World during the Second World War” in Berlin 2009, the “Grand Mufti of Jerusalem”‘s collaboration with the Nazis, which had a decisive influence on the Holocaust (we reported many times already) wasn’t exhibited at all “out of respect for joint Arab organisations”. The decision was supported by the migration commissioner of the Berlin Senate, Günter Piening because in a neighbourhood (heavily dominated by Muslims) like Neukölln a “differentiated presentation” was paramount. Doubtlessly an excellent example for how “positive examples of integration and immigration” are understood in Berlin.

In 2008, a Berlin senior prosecuting attorney made two mistakes. He took a hard line bringing young criminals to justice and declared publicly that ca. eighty percent of those are not ethnic Germans, which was against the policy of only recognizing “positive examples of integration and immigration”. The result? The Berlin government muzzled and then transfered him to a position where he surely couldn’t do any more harm to “positive examples of integration and immigration”. Hint: Ethnic Russians, Poles or Italians were rather underrepresented among those “non-ethnic Germans”.

Surely Henkel doesn’t know either the Rütli Schule, where after DECADES of inaction admiration of “positive examples of integration and immigration” the percentage of pupils with “a migration background” had reached a number that made calling in the police and a temporary closing down of the school inevitable. Hint: It weren’t the Russian, Polish or Italian children who were the reason for that.

Now what makes a man like Henkel tick? Why is he so blatantly, openly and shamelessly lying? Because this goes far beyond denial or ignorance. Is he paid by some oil-rich sheik, the age-old argument to explain dhimmitude? I don’t think so. Frankly, other than that limp “I don’t think so”, I don’t have a ready answer either. As it is, it just seems that a mixture of belief in multiculturalism, Gutmenschentum and general spinelessness, coupled with the old German yearning to be dominated by a totalitarian cult, is answerable for that.

On the same day as you published this (Sunday 25 July) I saw a long (half-hour) BBC interview with Eileen Gittins, the founder of the print-to-order company Blurb. (Print-to-order companies are internet-based businesses that allow anyone to publish a book and make as many or as few copies as they can sell or pay for. The best-known is Lulu.) The interviewer was Zeinab Bedawi, a Muslim of the same kind as Aygül Özkan, dressed in subdued chic, gracefully made up and coiffured, and with not the shadow of a veil in sight. From the beginning, Ms.Bedawi was visibly hostile, and her questioning was clearly aimed at showing, either that there was something unethical – as in the case of old-fashioned vanity publishers – about print-to-order, or that it would lower the level of communication. For the first ten minutes or so of the interview, I felt that this was the caste arrogance of the professional journo coming out – we cannot allow all that blogger rabble to pollute the sanctuary of mass communication with their muddy boots and vile manners. But then, at first from behind a tangle of words and claims, and then more and more clearly, another agenda showed itself. Suppose someone published something that was offensive. Well, answered Ms.Gittins, we have mechanisms in place – we don’t vet everything ourselves, but we encourage the public to make complaints. Ah, said Ms.Bedawi, but what about things offensive to particular groups? Like, say, the Danish cartoons? She started really hammering at this point, which is when I switched the TV off – though I must say that Ms.Gittins was being admirably stout and refusing to privilege a group’s claims over freedom of expression.

This made me think. It seems evident to me that what Ms.Bedawi instinctively opposed was the thought of thousands, maybe millions of people, each publishing freely – what is already happening with the internet, but in the more permanent and respected medium of paper. Where the surface of caste prejudice and the inner reality of religious threat meet, was in hating the idea of mass action – mob action – in the print media. Now Muslims, especially Sunni Muslims, certainly do not dislike mob action as such: it is their main way to be felt – yelling crowds of bearded youths pouring from mosques on hot Friday afternoons. On the other hand, the appeal clearly made by Bedawi to non-Muslims in general is clearly coded in a language of snobbery, intended to reach the elites and those who regard themselves as elite. It says: “Don’t allow this banausic mob of Sunday scribblers to take control of the media from you – you who are educated, professional and enlightened. See what risks you run when you allow Uncle Tom Cobbley and all to say what they think about things they know nothing of – such as Islam?” In other words, there is an inherent attempt to co-opt the non-Muslim societal leaderships into the job of Muslim repression, by flattering their intellectual and social presumptions. You can hear it in the constant but never justified claim that anyone who criticizes or opposes Islam does so because he is ignorant: this is frequently repeated by establishment supporters of Islam – and you can see that the assumption involved helps them accept the claim, by flattering their own self-image. Hey, you don’t understand Islam – because we do! Who else but us, the educated, the enlightened? So a religion that lives on the unleashing of its own mobs – and in which sometimes the mobs even devour some of the elites, and always threaten them – also advances by flattering the natural snobbish and repressive instincts of the elites of opposite groups; and not just by threatening them. That is not necessary when you can just arouse their own contempt – laced by unspoken fear – for the mobs in their own world. Of course, fears remaining a useful unadmitted motivation, but there is no need to ever mention it: to the contrary, you may act for all the world like the most quivering of cowed dhimmis and still see in the mirror the face of a paragon, a hero of enlightened vision and principle.

Astute observations like that always spur my interest, so I did a quick Google search on Zeinab Bedawi (or Badawi). Here is an excerpt from her Wikipedia entry. She …

… was born in Sudan and has lived in Britain since the age of one. Badawi was educated at Hornsey High School for Girls in North London, followed by the University of Oxford (St Hilda’s College) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) with a post-graduate degree on the Middle East from the School of Oriental and African Studies, awarded with a distinction. At Oxford she was a member of the Oxford University Broadcasting Society.

Journalism career

Badawi was a researcher and broadcast journalist for Yorkshire TV from 1982 to 1986. After a spell at BBC Manchester she joined Channel 4 News in 1988, and co-presented the programme from 1989 until leaving for the BBC in 1998.

At the BBC Badawi worked at Westminster on live political programmes for five years, and also worked on BBC radio, regularly presenting The World Tonight on Radio 4 and BBC World Service’s Newshour. In 2005, Badawi became the new presenter of The World on BBC Four, the UK’s first daily news bulletin devoted principally to international news. In May 2007 the programme was rebranded as World News Today.

In November 2009, Badawi was named “international TV personality of the year” in the annual AIBs, the international media excellence awards organised by the Association for International Broadcasting.

From 2010, in addition to her presenting role on BBC World News, Badawi has presented on the BBC News Channel.

Public positions

Badawi has been an adviser to the Foreign Policy Centre and a Council Member of the Overseas Development Institute. She is a trustee of the National Portrait Gallery (since 2004) and the British Council.

So here we have a woman, an immigrant to Britain, who owes everything she is to the culture in which she was raised. She was showered with honours and important positions where she had considerable influence on the opinion making process within the culture that raised and made her. And as I don’t know the circumstances, I am not even saying that this remarkable career was, all or partly, a matter of affirmative action, white guilt, Western self-loathing or whatever. Let’s assume she was, and is, truly deserving of all that. And yes, there is no veil in sight and let’s, too, reflect for a precious moment what would have happened to her had she remained in Sudan.

And when all is said and done, where do her loyalties lie? It’s Islam, stupid!

Lawyer-by-training and German by naturalisation Özkan also sees German courts as an “alien authority” and would like to see more Turks in that office.

Now Özkan is about to introduce a “Media Charter” for Lower Saxony. During a collective act on August 16 in Hannover, the invited media representatives are supposed to sign this so-called “Media Charter Integration”. The written invitation says that the collective declaration of intent is supposed to generate a publicity effect and all undersigned will have to pledge themselves to “strongly support the integration process in Lower Saxony”.

Özkan’s ministry asks the media to declare in writing to increase reporting about circumstances and challenges connected to integration, to use “culturally sensitive” language doing so, to further “intercultural openness (which is, of course, humbug, because the term “intercultural” does not imply a one-way-street and don’t we all know the “intercultural openness” of Muslims towards the West), to improve their “intercultural competence” (ditto), to initiate relevant projects and to cover them as journalists.

It is so far unique in Germany for the government of a federal state to pledge the media to a collective content and even the language used for that.

How very daring! But while Özkan had gotten a lot of backslapping by the media for her attempt at removing the crucifix from the public eye (who wants religion anyway, at least as long as it’s Christian), by getting at the media itself, she went too far and didn’t come by the usual fawning reception to which she must be used by now.

Here we have a woman, young, “modern”, seemingly perfectly assimilated, educated to university level, the lot, yet the first thing she sets her mind on in her high office, even before she is sworn in, is the banning of the Christian symbol from schools and, not even three months later, the abolition of the freedom of the press in favour of her fellow Muslims. Because in spite of all the “integration” and “people with a migration background” hogwash it’s just about one thing: Islam. Just as for this woman, young, “modern”, seemingly perfectly assimilated, educated to university level, everything is about that. Always. Islam is like that.

A Calgary mother won’t spend a day in jail for killing her teenage daughter with a head scarf — a decision that has prompted outrage.

A national victims’ group, based in Toronto, is stunned by the suspended sentence given to Aset Magomadova by Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Sal LoVecchio on Thursday.

“I really strongly disagree. It sends a massively huge message to the rest of the country and the world that her daughter’s life was valueless,” said Joe Wamback, co-founder and chairman of the Canadian Crime Victims Foundation. Dear Mr. Wamback, no doubt you are meaning well, but you are talking about a Muslim family. To her, her daughter’s life WAS valueless. You have … HOW many Muslims in Canada? (It doesn’t really matter how many exactly. If something like that happens, there are too many already.) Get an education!

“Even though this girl may have been a handful and trouble, that’s not the issue. Good to know! We are relieved, otherwise we’d thought that killing her is just the appropriate measure to discipline an unruly teenager. The issue is human life. Oh yes? Sentencing is not just about the criminal, but has to speak for the victim and to denunciation.” Gosh, how frightfully non-politically correct. No wonder nobody gave a damn.

In October, LoVecchio acquitted Magomadova, 40, of second-degree murder and found her guilty of manslaughter in the death of Aminat, 14. He placed her on probation for three years with several conditions, including taking counselling for grief, depression and anger management. And a trip to the Caribbean and an unlimited supply of McDonalds coupons for life.

The judge rejected an argument by Crown prosecutors Mac Vomberg and Sarah Bhola for a 12-year prison term, instead accepting the position of defence lawyer Alain Hepner, saying a suspended sentence can still meet the demands of sharia justice.

“At first blush (a suspended sentence) may sound like a get-out-of-jail-free card. It is not,” said LoVecchio. What else is it then?

“The court has said the act in question does not merit a period of incarceration. What the court has done is reserved or, to use the word of the statute, suspended judgment on that point for a period of time on conditions. If the conditions are satisfied, then the individual will not be sentenced. If they are breached, the individual will be brought back to the court to be dealt with further.” This is so debauched, so debased and rotten to the core, that it can only come from a judge in a liberal Western country.

Magomadova was charged after the deadly incident at their home the morning of Feb. 26, 2007, after Aminat refused to go to court to be sentenced for assaulting a female teacher at her school.

The devout Muslim mother claimed Aminat came at her with a knife in her sewing room, where she prayed several times a day. She said she reacted by wrapping the scarf around her daughter’s neck and twice told the girl to put the knife down before the teen lost consciousness.

A knife was found in the room, but the daughter’s fingerprints were not on it. But Muslims don’t lie. Didn’t you know that their faith forbids lying? It’s peace, too. Oh yes, and mercy!

LoVecchio, who rejected a defence of self-defence, deemed the woman did not intend to kill the teen, even though medical examiner Dr. Sam Andrews testified that death as a result of such an act would have taken at least 2 1/2 minutes.

Jennifer Koshan, an associate professor at the University of Calgary’s faculty of law who researches family violence, said the vast majority of fatal family violence cases involve husbands killing their wives. I guess this totally useless and a-topical information is supposed let the murder of the girl somehow appear less gruesome. At least it wasn’t a man who choked her.

“It’s relatively unusual to see a mother killing a child, especially an older child,” [sic!] said Koshan. “So it’s rare for the court to be faced with this situation. Maybe that influenced the judge in his decision.” Right! So the court said: “We have never dealt with a mother strangling her teenage daughter cruelly to death over a time of 2 1/2 minutes, so let’s not deal with it at all!” What a magically wise solution.

Marilyn Millions, one of Magomadova’s sponsors with St. James Anglican Church, said outside court she was relieved “at the compassion and mercy that has been shown” by the court. Sorry, I’m not commenting on that. Words fail me.

“There were lots of tears and emotion,” she said. “If you’ve lived through it and you’ve gotten to know these people, it’s all in the context. It’s a lot different than reading a little bit about it. It’s a very different situation.” WHAT is a very different situation? Having to deal with a murderous Muslim walrus?

Millions also said it was the wish of the family that “people would know mental-health services for young people and help for their families will be improved, and changes made to the system, so that others who have to go through similar situations do not fall through the cracks.” So that woman killed her daughter because she fell though some “cracks”? It wasn’t really her fault?

Hepner said his client was crying after she learned she’d be free to go home and agreed it was an appropriate sentence. You bet!

“The judge considered all the factors and it was a very lengthy decision,” said Hepner, who had sought either a conditional jail sentence to be served in the community or the suspended sentence. “He considered the background, psychological and psychiatric background. What else can a judge do in arriving at a proper decision?” Maybe use some common sense and simple human decency?

LoVecchio said he wrestled with the dynamics of the family in reaching his conclusions. The “dynamics” of that family are that of a Muslim family in the West.

He noted that the woman came to Canada for a better life for herself and her children from Chechnya, where her husband had been killed by Russian invaders and she had part of her foot blown off. And that excuses killing her child, no doubt. I don’t want to appear unkind, but I’m afraid the Russians blew the wrong body part off.

“This was a family in crisis with events spiralling out of control,” he said, alluding to the friction between Aset and Aminat leading up to the deadly confrontation that morning. Well, whatever.

“It cannot be reduced to simply a case of mom choosing to kill her daughter as a form of discipline because she misbehaved. Quite simply, the events of that morning cannot be seen as a single isolated event.” Blah blah blah yabber yabber yack yack …

And nobody even remembered that all this was supposed to be, too, about speaking for the victim and denunciation.

And, you know, that is not really about Islam, that’s how Islam is EXPLOITED by people like that infanticidal hippopotamus.

Do you have any idea, Americans, when I get one of my recurrent “I-dislike-America”-bouts (it is applicable to the entire North American continent, by the way)? If your media calls somebody like that “a [insert location] mother”. “Mom” is worse.

“KRAKOW, Poland – U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the Obama administration will seek $15 million contribution to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation. She made the pledge while visiting the Oskar Shchindler [sic!] enamel factory where the German protected Jews from the Holocaust.”

“Today I am proud to announce the intention of the Obama Administration to work with Congress to secure $15 million in funding for the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation,” she said.

“We encourage other nations to join us in contributing to this fund. In just one year, 2009 alone, more than 1.3 million people from around the world visited the museum and memorial of Auschwitz,” Clinton added during a sombre speech.

“Our contribution will help preserve the camp so that future generations can see for themselves why the world must never again allow a place of such hatred to scar the soul of humankind,” she said.

So while the empathy for and solidarity with dead Jews is strong (and cheap), the same Obama administration that gets quite dewy-eyed and sombre over a world that must never again allow a place of such hatred to scar the soul of humankind, is blocking key weapons projects for Israel, rejecting requests for AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopters, while at exactly the same time happily approving advanced F-16 multi-role fighters for Egypt plus approving more than $10 billion worth of arms sales to Arab League states, including Kuwait, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates who all have a key interest in the survival of the Jewish people and not to allow ever again a place of such hatred to scar the soul of humankind.

And to let no doubt whatsoever that this ilk is totally unembarrassable, she goes on:

“We see here the two realities of the Holocaust. One involves the cold, mechanized slaughter of millions of men, and women, and children, many of them wrenched from their communities, herded into boxcars by their neighbors and sent to die, including, not far from here, in the gas chambers of Auschwitz,” Clinton said.

“And yet we also see and are heightened by the stories of the righteous, the thousands who risked lives, fortunes, and reputations to rescue friends and strangers from the horrors of the Shoah,” she added.

“The courage of Oskar Schindler and Minister Bartoszewski gives us proof that, in the face of the worst that humanity is capable of, there are amongst us individuals who are defiant, and who are unwilling to accept that alternative reality.

“We have an obligation to remember both sides of that experience of the Holocaust,” she said.

First, dear Hillary, only Jews use the term “Shoa”. Gentiles who do so show a deplorable lack of taste, distance, discernment and respect. And no, there are NOT “two realities of the Holocaust”. It was NOT not about “scars on the souls of humankind”, but about six million dead Jews. Remembrance isn’t, either, about restaging “thousands who risked lives, fortunes, and reputations to rescue friends and strangers” who wouldn’t have needed to do that in the first place, hadn’t millions of others, the overwhelming majority, done nothing — or gleefully complied. Trust anybody as debased as yourself and the faux Messiah in the White House to turn remembrance of the Holocaust into a feel good experience for gentiles.

Employees of the construction company received E-mails in which they were warned that decorating their cars with St. George’s flag discriminated against those who didn’t root for England in the World Cup. Managers of “Bolton At Home” in Manchester who administer 18,200 cooperative apartments declared that the employees’ cars must remain neutral so that every customer/renter will be treated with respect and without discrimination.

But an employee of the organization said: “It’s an absolute disgrace. All we want to do is show our support for the England football team in the World Cup but we are in effect being told it is racist to start waving the England flag. A ban would be bad enough on company cars but these are our own vehicles and we should be allowed to do what we like with them. This is Big Brother mentality gone bonkers.”

Another employee said, “People are decking out the streets and houses in England flags yet the bosses here are being killjoys in the name of political correctness. The message seems to be from them that we should be embarrassed to wave the England flag. Yet all of us think we should be waving the England flag with pride. Don’t our bosses want England to win the World Cup?”

The organization’s website displays, “Equality and valuing diversity are central to our organizational values.”

Northrhine-Westphalia’s police are not allowed to show any flags during the World Cup soccer championship. The decoration of uniforms or cruisers with flags or pennants in which the German national colors black-red-gold are displayed in support of the eleven national players are, of course,not allowed, a speaker of the Interior Ministry said in a ddp inquiry.

The reason, he said, is that this could be construed as provocation by fans from other nations. “We don’t want any unnecessary complications during during the assignment,” he said. After all, police are required to stay neutral.

Is the meaning of “of course” that of not showing support for one’s own national team because one or the other guest in the country might feel like they are being treated disrespectfully? Apparently not, because…

In Saxony-Anhalt, for example, police officers are allowed to do their patrolling with the German flag on their car, just like they did during the World Cup match four years ago.

Ah yes, the Wessis (West Germans) are even farther ahead…
