The Weser-Kurier reports:

Bremen: Two brothers aged from 22 to 30 belonging to a clan known by the city have been arrested. Right away they came to fisticuffs with a security agent in the city bureau and then expressed murder threats against him.

The incident has a violent history behind it. As the police communicate, back on August 16th, a physical dispute between the 30-year-old and a colleague of the security service came about in the city bureau. After that he had to be treated at a hospital. Another male member of the family also took part in this quarrel.

The 30-year-old is already recognized has being “an extremely agressive.” He insulted a female case worker who right away informed the security service. The 37-year-old watchman was attacked on a stairway by both men and defended himself with a fist fight. That mobilized other members of the clan — police officers had trouble bringing the situation under control.

On the day after the incident, the 22- and 30-year-old had to report to the police station and used this occasion to express murder threats against the security officers. On the basis of the prior history of the brothers, the police officers have applied for arrest warrants — the brothers are now in prison.

Increased security measures are now in effect for the city bureau; the threatened officer and his family have been placed under protection.

In order to understand why the interior authorities are practically powerless against the criminal clans, it is recommendable to fish out a video and listen once again to Interior Minister Mäurer (SPD):

Islam Critic Ulfkotte: Sarrazin is Right — “A completely absurd immigrant industry has come in to being”

Islam critic and book author Udo Ulfkotte sees an “increasing ignorance of politics” in the majority of opinions by German citizens in the sharp criticism of the immigration issues by Bundesbank head Thilo Sarrazin (SPD). “We are seeing again in surveys that people like Thilo Sarrazin have two-thirds of the population behind them. But all of the leading politicians are calling him crazy. It is a pure question of how much time before this is avenged,” Ulfkotte said to the “Leipziger Volkszeitung” (Friday edition). Before as now, it is not the desire for ruthlessly naming the problems of immigrant policy and putting a stop to undesirable mistakes. “Instead, we are probing further into the enactment of the story ‘The Kings New Clothes.’ The simple citizen is not allowed to say that the king is naked; as simple citizens one can only gossip. So this is how it is in modern Germany, but sometime the story will come to an end.

The harsh chastisement of immigrants reluctant to work, without German language ability, and defrauders of social aid must not be misconstrued as an undifferentiating blanket statement. “Even the immigrant citizens who are assimilating as much as they can, living properly, going to work and paying taxes ask themselves why we don’t do something to remove these black sheep from our ranks, and even favor them,” Ulfkotte said. In truth, they are the disadvantaged ones of the desirable developments coming from immigrant policy.

Ulfkotte supports the substance of Sarrazin’s controversial themes regarding immigrant problems and the outgrowth of Islam. It must eventually be discussed that, up until 2007, a deficit of more than one billion euros has arisen solely due to immigrants in the German social systems. “We have let a completely absurd immigration industry come into existence. A net of 1252 euros could conceivably be put back into the pocket of every German taxpayer if we wouldn’t expend these crazy sums for immigrants who are resistant to education and behind the times. Immigrants who have no German language skills and are perpetually dependent on social transfers due to their education level are criticized by Ulfkotte as “destroyers of prosperity.” The Islam critic also supports Sarrazin in criticism of Muslims. Islam, above all is an aggressive ideology “that should not be allowed a place among democracies in Europe,” Ulfkotte said. (…)

Meanwhile, the SPD is now starting another procedure to throw Sarrazin out of the Party of Comrades. The CDU is going a step further and would like to see Thilo Sarrazin removed from the Bundesbank.

The Oberhessische Presse (OP), who indeed was the one paper to report on the violent act, albeit briefly, writes:

“It was a terrible incident. For a person to come to his death in this fashion is unbearable. My thoughts are on the loved ones of the young man,” Mayor Egon Vaupel (SPD) said Tuesday at an inquiry by the OP. According to Vaupel’s communication, whether the wake can take place will be decided on Wednesday.

When a friend of the victim who didn’t want to be called by his name, talked about it, the participants of the wake intend to meet in the Kaufpark at 12 o’clock and make their way from there along the Wehrdaer Strasse to the scene of the crime at Wehrdaer Weg. A funeral service is planned at the crime scene which is near the Bremsspur pub.

Police speaker Martin Ahlich stated that there is discussion between the Office for Public Order and the organizers regarding the progression of the wake. Details are still not clear. If the Marburg Office for Public Order has no reservations, then the police will “judge the situation and intervene with necessary measures.” It is thinkable that the wake will be accompanied by police cruisers like in a protest.

You read correctly. In the University town Marburg, the authorities “examine” whether the citizens are allowed to conduct public mourning for the victim of a violent crime. Apparently the police are afraid that the mourners could be attacked by criminals from the surroundings. How else can the consideration to accompany a wake with police cruisers be construed? The Tagesschau writes:

“When applying for employment, women with children, older people or applicants with foreign sounding names have considerably worse chances than others,” complained the leader of the Federal Antidiscrimination Bureau, Christine Lüders. She refers to a current study by the Bonn Institute for the Future of Labor (IZA-Institut zur Zukunft der Arbeit) and the University of Konstanz. This study substantiates the fact that applicants with a Turkish name are put at a disadvantage. In a field test, their chance of receiving an invitation to a second interview was up to around a quarter less than with applicants with a German name.

Lüder’s authorities, therefore, are beginning a pilot study in September on the anonymization of applicants in which five firms will participate. The objective is for businesses to decide based on the professional qualification of an applicant, whether the person will be invited to an interview or not. The cosmetic conglomerate L’Oreal and the consumer goods producer Procter & Gamble will be participating in the test run. The other three businesses will be disclosed on Wednesday.

Beginning in September, these firms will test whether anonymous applications will fetch better chances for a job for older candidates, women or foreigners. In the anonymous process, cover letters will be altered. The name and address of the applicant will not be allowed to show up in the paperwork because the former allows consideration of the background and the latter of the social status of the one interested.

Besides that, the applicant will not supply a photo with his documents nor will he supply birthday or familial position. Thus, discrimination on the basis of age or background will be hampered. People over 50 years and applicants with foreign names simply “would most often be the first ones separated from the stack,” Lüders said to the “Hamburger Abendblatt.”

The employers are against this nonsense. They presumably don’t know that Turkish offspring have the better graduating results. So, the result then is that the sorting out will take place right in the interview.

But then, at the beginning of a new and more enlightened, more joyous age, millions of “people with immigrant background” streamed into this backward Germany in order to turn it into a cosmopolitan, multi-cultural, enriched country, a “diversified republic.” History must have happened this way somehow, if one is to believe the statements of German politicians. Thus, for example, Education Minister Schavan (CDU) could hardly contain herself just lately before the periodical FOCUS as she raved about the great advances in integration by foreigners, especially Turks. They are not only successful in their careers, but also intend to engage themselves in the “acceptance of responsibility for joint development of society…, changing and promoting Germany.”

In what direction this process seems to be heading, the Minister, however, said nothing of that. Moreover, she demanded a “clear recognition of cultural diversity.” Because “People of immigrant background are an inportant part of our diversified republic. They enrich our country; we need them.” As an example, she mentioned the “growing group of Turkish high performers,” whose 80,000 business owners employ 350,000 workers. For clarification, this means that 80,000 vegetable traders, döner booth and Internet café owners have provided a poorly paid position for some 4.5 family members on average.

But not only is Minister Schavan full of praise for the possibilities in the new Germany. New President Wullf, as well, announced right at the beginning of his term that he intendes to engage himself for a better togetherness of cultures, and admonished the Germans that these have to be open for collaboration with all parts of the world. In addition it is necessary to get to know other cultures better and learn to understand how to encounter these in Germany and strengthen exchange. That, as Wullf stated, is something we Germans can “already practice here among us, in our repubic, in our diversified German Republic.” It was rather difficult to find that “diversified republic” in the Constitution once again. However, apparently this Constitution wasn’t diversified enough, therefore the time is coming quickly that it will be adjusted to match the reality of politics and economy. In a completely democratic fashion, of course, with the votes of the majority in society (not the people of the nation!).

Another friend of the diversified republic, especially when it has to do with the Islamic portion, is the former Interior Ministor (and current Finance Minister) Schäuble (CDU). This one, for example, pointed out “Islam as part of Germany” at the reception of the Turkish-Islamic Union of the Organization for Religion (DITIB), according to the Islamic portal of Milli Görüs on Sept. 23, 2009. The organization (note well, not the German people; in whose names “German” politicians only still speak when it has to do with the recognition of historical guilt and the redress resulting from it) has accepted, as Schäuble so quotes, “that Muslims are an enrichment for Germany. Islamic rites such as the mutual breaking of the fast in the month of Ramadan will be looked upon positively from now on.” In such statments by a minister, it is not clear whether we’re dealing here with premature submission, simple currying of favor, the stupid gibberish of thoughtlessness, or the onset of senility. Even Schäuble’s claim before the plenary meeting of the Lutheran World Alliance in Stuttgart, Germany should put a brake on economic development, since it certainly produces no clarity there.

Also in former President Köhler (also CDU) — who at one time designated the meeting together of religions “as some kind of a foundation for hope” and stressed that he understands Islam “to be a peaceful religion at heart that is satisfied in itself” — it appears that doubt is beginning to set in from the sense of reality. Also, one might call to mind through him, as well as most of the other politicians of this country, the splendid words of the cabarettist Dieter Nuhr, who said, “If one has no idea, just hold an eating session.” Köhler’s request that discussions about Islam would have to be led out of respect might have taken example from Lower Saxony’s Social Minister Özkan (again CDU, Islamic and of Turkish descent) for its “Media Charter of Integration“. This was intended by head editors and heads of publishing houses to underscore an effect on the public, that eventually had to be cancelled because not only did the Minister President issue a cancellation of the matter, but the media also saw the necessity of producing more culturally sensible information about integration, of developing intercultural dissemination even more, and strengthening intercultural competence like they have so far, and moreover initiating and heading up even more fitting projects. It’s really sad, but it would be interesting to see how a report will appear when covering the subject in a “culturally sensible” way that (according to a press release from the Islamic religious community on February 2, 2010) “around 90 percent of those arrested that currently are inmates in Berlin detention centers,” are Muslims. Perhaps, however, it would really be in the best interests of the intercultural fuss, if the media would continue with such press releases as they have thus far — simply ignore and better yet not even mention. After all, there’s no desire of unnecessarily scaring off or putting a complete chill on a culturally sensitive public.

Another person who suffers from persistent verbal incontinence is the Integration Representative for the Federal Government, Maria Böhmer (yet again CDU). She also had something to request, namely — and it can almost be anticipated — intercultural competence! This one would better be a future subject for basic training in the Bundeswehr. Since more and more soldiers have an immigrant background, the Army is making a valuable contribution to integration. The immigrants, as Böhmer comprehensively asserts as well as naively, could “sensibly enter into various cultures, religions and environments with their language abilities.” The assumption that people would have special abilities only because they are not German by birth or descent, is just as ridiculous as asking what kind of competence Madame Böhmer actually has to have for her post of Integration Representative. Of course, complete cluelessness, overreaching chattiness and a penetratingly close xenophilia belong for sure. For example, imagine for a moment an immigrant Orthodox Serb or Russian who “very sensibly” enters into the Islamic-Pashtu culture, religion and environment, or an immigrant Sunni Afghan or Turk in perhaps a future assignment in the predominantly Christian Balkans. And just how much will the immigration experience be of use for, shall we say of a Vietnamese born in Dortmund? The answer to where the open mindedness and diversity of Germany can be defined as of its own origin should not be expected to come from traceable substance.

Open mindedness, by the way, is one of the favorite canned expressions from the Left. The most recent example is the left-wing politician Jens-Eberhard Jahn from Freiberg who not long ago suggested “the building of a representative mosque in Freiberg” as a sign of open mindedness, somewhat as a reparation for a few attacks on döner booths. This would have “sullied Freiburg’s open mindedness.” It is however questionable whether there is really any need of a mosque in Freiburg. The Lord Mayor, in any case, communicated that there were no such inquiries available.

The attacks had already been cleared up some days before. When an unemployed 26-year-old, who had already been recognized by the police as the assailant in robberies and vandalism turned himself in, and confessed in the interview that he was bothered that the foreign owners of the food vendors wouldn’t buy goods from local farmers and businesses and that they had their own deliverers. The man, however, did not have a fundamentally negative or even extreme right-wing attitude toward foreigners, according to the Chemnitz district attorney. Moreover he gave a confusing impression. The owners of the affected bistros, by the way, were Kurdish Iraqis, Indians and Vietnamese. It could not be cleared up whether the latter would come to the point of praying in the representative mosque that von Jahn asked for.

However, not only are politicians going to waste over the subject-cluster of immigration-integration-open mindedness-diversity-tolerance-Islam in frenzied conditions with accompanying and often irreversible clouding of conscience. The evidence: The Northrhine-Westphalian regional president of the German police union, Erich Rettinghaus, commanded on July 21st that Turkish police officers were to patrol together with German officers when doing their assignments in problem neighborhoods of large German cities. Since in certain townships, especially people of “immigrant background” find it unnecessary to observe the laws of their host country, and that “most of the suspects” being dealt with … “are persons of Turkish descent” is no oath of manifestation, “rather a constructive attempt by a new joint effort.” In this Rettinghuase wasn’t totally wrong, it really isn’t an oath of manifestation; it’s much more — a capitulation, an admission to one’s own incapacity to keep law and order in Germany afloat without foreign aid, even everywhere and at any time! In addition, the union official almost weepingly asked for “the causes to be investigated and to declare why German police officers often not accepted, why the societal values of this country as well as its freedom loving, democratic foundations so often run up against rejection.” Now, with the measures that Rettinghaus is asking for, he has answered his own questions. They are naïveté, ignorance, stupidity, cowardice, spinelessness, inconsistency, idle chatter, effeminacy, opportunism and general weakness, just as they meanwhile have been the rule here, and that encourages any immigrant in their flaunting, parasite-like and criminal actions. The employment of Turkish police officers on German streets, however, would have an advantage — it would make the whole dilemma of police and political incompetence considerably obvious.

Whether that will even help to bring things back into balance is doubtful because the problem doesn’t just lie with the politicians. The voters are the ones who are standing more in the way of the necessary changes. According to most current surveys, the SPD and Greens, namely, again have a governing majority for the first time since eight years, according to the Sunday question on ARD “Germany Trends” (Deutschlandtrends), and at a total of 48 percent stand above the CDU and FDP at 36 percent. The fickle attitudes of the voters that every few years switch from one party to the other because of disappointment, thereby overlooking or forgetting that all parties in changing coalitions are responsible for the ruling conditions of the time, and every vote only presents a medial pest and cholera, in this fashion resemble that English schoolgirl who at age 14 fell into the hands of various Asiatic (in Great Britain this is the current politically correct synonym in use for Muslims) bands, and was put under the influence of drugs, raped and forced into prostitution by them. The traveler indeed had multiple opportunities to escape from her tormentors, but over and over she either sought out notorious areas where she had good chances of falling into the hands of new rapists and pimps, which again was the case right away, or she was returned yet again to these types to be placed under the influence of drugs and have sex with them.

Even though one of the Muslim gangsters threatened her with a kitchen knife and forced her to turn tricks for him, she returned to him, even though police had arrested her before and brought her to a bus station so that she could return home. There was a happy ending, though. The 14-year-old was finally arrested by the police and many of her tormentors were received long-term incarceration on the basis of her statements. It is still open as to who from without would truly offer a helping hand of intervention in the case of the German girl. Ultimately, the Germans will have to help themselves. Maybe you might have the strength and will to do so?

After a court battle that lasted for years, the Swiss Supreme Court has now decided in a last instance that the death racer must leave Switzerland because of his crime. He will, therefore, lose his residence permit for the Schengen area.

Blick reports:

The history in time lapse: The Zurich upper court sentences Bljerem in December 2004 for wilful death and gross violation of traffic law to five years and three months in jail. …

Shortly before the fatal crash, he pawned off his newly leased BMW. In 2007, while on prison furlough, the Zurich city police arrested him: Bljerem was standing next to a car with its keys in hand.

The Zurich Immigration Bureau withdraws the residence permit on July 29?, 2009 — after his release from prison. He appeals. The government council rejects the appeal. The administrative court as well.

And now the federal judges are also cranking out the appeals as well. In the judgement it was stated, Bljerem had “demonstrated effort to respect the Swiss order of law.” The death racer showed “a shocking indifference to the lives of other people.” And, “Such an action fundamentally rules any continuance of the foreigner in Switzerland.”

However, such an outrage also, that one should not be permitted to remain in his host country, where milk and honey flow because of gross disregard for human life. The Swiss have even crossed through the plans for a European trip for the poorest that see themselves as victims. He complains:

“I have been barred from the whole Schengen Area. I have only distant relatives in Macedonia. No one will help me to build a life there.”

Too sad, that the people there are less generous than the Swiss social aid payers who foot the bill for the support of thousands of imported treasures.

Of course it couldn’t have had anything at all to do with the exclusive claim to power and the thoughts of superiority of the most peaceful of all religions. And so, what is dealt with here is most certainly that of an unfortunate heaping up of various Isolated Cases™, for justified reactions to unsensible actions by the intolerant bio-French society of the majority and for desperate self-defense from aggressive French racism.

These four minutes are well worth the viewing. In the beginning it refers to better times in French history, when there was pride of country, its history, the achievements of the Enlightenment, and when it had its own identity. Also before left-wing warped self-hate convinced the French of a bad conscience because of the allegedly evil age of colonization, when civilized advances were brought to various underdeveloped regions. In this video, music and images meld to form a powerful message: Let’s defend this country with its cultural character!

The messages at the end of the film could be sprayed on walls everywhere in Germany:

Did you know that your grandchildren will say in 50 years, “How could you let it happen?!”

Open your eyes, your next victim could be you, your children, your wife!

We are all affected by this violence, these aggressions; France is your country — protect it!

Stop the anti-white racism!

I agree entirely with the statements in this video, with one exception: The matter here, in my opinion, is not that of “anti-white” racism, even though the slogan “hunt for whites” is used. The matter is much more that of the battle between civilization and Islam, as well as between enlightened society and antiquated barbarity. This only superficially has to do with skin color. There are enough people in France with dark skin that do not participate in these violent activities because they don’t belong to the Religion of Peace™. On the other hand, there are also male and female converts who are included to violent acts. The latter is especially true of the female examples.

The scenes in this video play out mainly in the region (department) Seine Saint Denis (93) in the area surrounding Paris, therefore the number also showing on the T-shirt. In this the impression is produced: “This region already belongs to us.” In three different cities there, the French flag was removed from the townhall, burned and replaced with the Algerian flag. How they burn the flag can be viewed in the film. In one of the pictures, a police officer can be recognized from behind. He is even decked out with helmet and shield, but upon directive from above, he still doesn’t intervene. My penpal writes in addition:

“The police was there and had received the command not to budge. The government is forbidding the police from entering the suburbs, otherwise that might be a provocation.:

The mother of three children knows precisely what she’s talking about. Her husband is a police officer and they lived in the greater Paris area from 1996 to 2008; during this time, she was in an accountable position in the Security Service. Her husband, therefore, has been in the middle of the turmoil for eleven years. There can hardly be any more speaking of riots, that would be criminal downplay of the situation.

“2005 was terrible! The immigrant bands burned children’s cribs (for children from 0 to 3 years) and schools (for children of age 3 through 12 years)! It was an open war!”

Civil war in the country of human rights and the Enlightenment. If France falls, then it looks even more somber for Europe.

“A short while ago, a robber was killed in Grenoble. The bands have laid the city waste! They have threatened to kill the police with rocket launchers!!! And the government has seen itself forced into evacuating the police so that they can hide somewhere in France…”

“The cops are second-class citizens“, that is the headline of an article the desperate young woman sent me. There, a police officer from the Anticriminal Squad (Brigade anticriminalité) , a special unit for fighting crime, who of course wishes to remain anonymous, reports of his depressing experiences. Conclusion: One gives in to the leaders of the bands and uses the police for canon fodder (at least that’s how they appear). If the police would only be allowed to police, then the youth would already clean up their act, but they simply aren’t allowed. Thus the statement of the police.

Almost everywhere in Europe these barbarians are allowed to do just about anything. In France and Great Britain, the situation is, of course, especially bad, since the Muhammadans settled there are very well the most aggressive in Europe. Here in Germany, we should see these countries as examples of warning. Resist the urges. After all, we have been allowed to experience twice in the last century what it means to be ruled by a dictatorship.

Certain upper schools have also already been affected as well. The advocates argue for the measures by saying that the number of Muslims has increased so much in the elementary schools that responsibility can no longer be taken for “unclean” food. When the little ones become older, the usual upper schools will certainly follow up as well. And thus, a once proud kingdom is collapsing and dismantling itself.

In the course of his new offensive against criminal activity, France’s president Nicolas Sarkozy is announcing strict measures. “Any person of foreign origin that attacks a police officer, gendarme or an agent of public order shall have their citizenship revoked,” Sarkozy said in Grenoble. In the eastern French city there were massive riots around two weeks ago.

In addition, for minors who have become delinquent, French citizenship will “no longer come automatic” upon legal adulthood. In the presence of Justice Minister Michèle Alliot-Marie and Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux, Sarkozy declared that the minimum penalties for violence against police, for example, will be raised after the parliamentary summer furlough starting September 7th. For the murder of a police officer or gendarme, 30 years incarceration is to be instituted again. Sarkozy also asked for electronic ankle bracelets for repeat offenders.

With an eye on immigration, Sarkozy spoke of an insufficient regulation over the past 50 years and of failure of integration. He spoke in favor of examining “rights and benefits” for illegal immigrants. “The war that I have decided to wage against black marketers and crooked individuals will take many years,” the president said, and he added, “that is a national war.” He is counting on support from all political camps.

The president defended the police who are repeatedly being accused of an excessively violent procedures, especially in suburbs with a high number of immigrants. In the case that led up to the heavy rioting in Grenoble, the officers did “nothing worthy of accusation,” Sarkozy underscored.

The newspaper Le Monde spoke of a broken taboo in light of Sarkozy’s plans for denaturalization. The president, who himself has a Hungarian father, distinguishes between those who settled long ago and naturalized French citizens. The threatened removal of citizenship brings especially to mind the Vichy regime that was collaborating with the Nazis, that removed the nationality from around 15,000 people

If Sarkozy is indeed finally unpacking the long promised pressure cleaner, then no comparison is to scurrilous to the xenophiles. This needs to be considered: Le Monde is comparing, out of political calculation and for the purpose of defaming a long overdue policy, innocent murdered Jews of National Socialism with the most hardened repeat criminals, thugs, murderers and drug dealers. The more they get on the defensive, the more obviously they show their true face.

One day after the act, Krish, the 18-year-old son of the victim, stands at the scene. He brought with him flowers and a candle. “I have inconceivable extreme rage building up within me,” he said. His seven-year-old sister and he had already been in bed when their parents took off with the littlest one. “The baby cried a lot. Ever since the neighbors moved in directly under us three months ago, they have complained about it to my father.” Whether it was the whining that brought the man to such a rage that he would constantly stab can only be speculated.

The Turkish family was taken away from their apartment yesterday. Meanwhile, the terrace of the Tamil family was full of mourning relatives and friends. “We will not move away,” the son said. “There are too many memories for my father here.”

Frédéric Lagache of the police union is himself aware of the desperation in the normal population:

“We are here so that security will be respected, so that the residents can live in peace. I have seen residents crying. Order must be restored.”

On being questioned why the “young man” whose death unleashed a wave of violence wasn’t just injured, Lagache answered:

“It’s easy to say that now. But when one is in the heat of the battle, believe me, it’s a little different. My colleagues have defended their physical integrity. After all, this person had fired three times with a military weapon into the windshield! You can’t imagine that. We can say that we were lucky that there were no casualties among us.”

The police repudiated the accusation of murder:

“That is simply unacceptable because it simply isn’t the truth. The Minister of the Interior has to support his police officers. He is there so that the law will be respected. For this reason, we are demanding that he carry out legal proceedings for us against the mother of the young man who has raised these unacceptable accusations against us. We understand her despair. That, however is no reason to stigmatize the police.”

Those who enrich France see it differently. For them, this hunt against the evil police is the restoration of justice, and certain media reports show great sympathy for this.

Turks living in Berlin have filed a complaint against Federal Bank president Thilo Sarrazin (SPD) due to sedition. They accused the former Berlin finance senator of a “targeted and offensively racist remark,” that lies “outside the framework of free speech,” the district attorney’s office communicated.

Sarrazin had expressed fear back in June that the weaker level of education of many immigrants had a negative effect on Germany. “We are being dumbed down by natural means,” the 65-year-old said.

The president of the Turkish-German Berlin-Brandenburg Business Association and a number of attorneys produced the complaint against Sarrazin.

Should he have spoken like Orwell and said that immigration is making the country smarter? It would become difficult to indict Sarrazin on a false statement, and even though this should be possible, the law still entitles free expression (at least for now) even to those who think differently.

Are the applicants allowed then to send a representative to the interview and probation time, or do they all have a sack over their head?

The FAZ writes:

In Germany, a pilot project has been begun for anonymous job applications. This was announced by the leader of the anti-discrimination office of the federal government, Christine Lüders. “We have been able to win over three large German firms from Dax and two international concerns for this project,” Lüders said to this newspaper in Berlin. Among them are the consumer goods producers Procter & Gamble and L’Oréal.

Lüders admits that this will not necessarily protect against prejudices in further employment processes. If an employer ultimately discriminates in their decision for personnel, then an accusation may be considered in any case because of the offense against the General Law for Equal Treatment. “However, sometimes it is already worth gold just be invited to get beyond censorship,” Lüders said.

At best, firms can be completely forbidden from meeting a candidate. Then in the interview, at the latest, would it be seen whether the applicant can even speak German. What that has to do with “censorship,” is beyond our knowledge.

Lüders signifies “multiple discrimination” as a special problem — like when a young woman of Turkish origin, with head covering and poor German skills, is unable receive a position or get an apartment. Gender, origin, age and religion of the affected individual all possibly come together as grounds for discrimination. Typical complaints also come from young men from Africa or Arab countries who, for example, have been refused entry at a disco by the doorkeeper. Lüders mentions the primary goal for her work as networking of various on site advice centers. Other than that, she intends to sensitize society regarding the problem of discrimination.

For what reason do we need to be sensitized? Is it because Muslim immigrants often do not master the language and have no school diploma?

Fundamental doubt has been raised by Düsseldorf economics professor Justus Haucap about the use of antidiscrimination centers that cost the taxpayer 2,8 million Euros annually. The president of the monopoly commission recommends the abolition of the Berlin authority with its staff of 22 and advisory board of 17 people. According to a study, more than 1.7 milliard (American ‘billion’) Euros in bureaucratic cost to the economy would result from the antidiscrimination law. There has been a significant increase in complaints. Haucap thinks that the German Civil and Employment Law already offers enough protection from discrimination; the Berlin center is “absolutely unnecessary.”

Well, what now? It does guarantee employment positions, and even for a good purpose!
